The Immigrant Welcome Centre is hosting a free youth badminton event at the ҹɫapp Community Centre on November 14 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This event is open to all youth 12+ regardless of immigration status.

Corilair is hosting a free community event for kids on Halloween from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Families are invited to stop by the Corilair base at the ҹɫapp airport to collect some treats, check out a plan, meet one of the local pilots, and sit in the pilot seat for photos.
ҹɫapp Family Services offers a free 7-week program for teens who are experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety, called Y Mind. Participants learn and practice strategies to help manage anxiety and help them feel calmer and more in control. This runs Wednesdays starting Sept 24 until November 5 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

ҹɫapp Hospice offers an after-school grief group for children ages 12 to 16 called Youth Together. The group meets every second Wednesday, starting September 24 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Registration is required. Email corenna@crhospice.ca or call (250) 286-1121.
Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is hosting an Islands-wide art show for kids and teens 18 and under. Every piece of art submitted will be displayed in an online gallery and considered for their 2026 wall calendar. 12 pieces will be selected. Deadline for submissions is September 30, 2025. Healthy Minds BC has created an online learning resource for parents and caregivers called “Walking Alongside Youth with Depression” or WAY. It is designed to provide parents and others caring for a child or youth experiencing mild to moderate depression with practical and accessible information, tools and insights for use in daily life.
